Foreign Language
Our Foreign Language Program offers courses in American Sign Language, Czech, French, and Spanish, immersing you in the literature, culture, and media of the people who speak the language. Other possibilities are careers in business, international relations, education, social work, medicine, tourism, filmmaking, and humanitarian work.

These degrees provide the basis to enter careers in criminal justice, court interpreting, FBI, CIA, and other governmental professions.
Program FAQ
The Associate of Arts degrees in American Sign Language and Spanish are available online and on the Bryan Campus.
Czech courses are available online and on the Schulenburg Campus and French courses are available on the Bryan Campus. Blinn does not offer degrees in either of these languages.
Blinn foreign language students transfer to universities across the state, including Texas A&M, Sam Houston State, the University of North Texas, and more. Speak to an academic advisor at your university of choice to see how Blinn credits will apply toward your specific degree plan.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national demand for interpreters and translators is expected to grow 20% between 2021 and 2031, with a median pay of $49,110 per year.
